The 60th Anniversary of FFA in Highland was held in conjunction with the Doniphan West Chapter Banquet on April 18. Over 210 FFA members, family and guests were present at the celebration. Among the guests were four founding members of the Highland FFA. Highlights of the night included the reciting of new and old versions of the creed by Samantha Albers, Luke Rush and Jack Dorrell, one of the founding members. John Gladhart, 1960, and Kole McCauley, 2006, spoke about their experiences in agriculture and FFA. Mr. Schmitz unveiled the new Highland-Doniphan West Wall of Achievement. The large plaque will be placed in the entrance of the agriculture building and will include all members that have received their state and american degrees, state star winners, state officers and district officers from Highland and Doniphan West.
